Castro offers a unique experience on the island of Amorgos. A music café quite unlike anywhere else in the Cyclades.
Perched on a hillside halfway between the port of Katapola and Chora, with an amazing view of Katapola and the neighbouring islands of Koufounissi, Ios, Iraklia, Keros and Naxos, Castro offers one of the finest sunsets you will ever see. But thatʼs not all.
The interior of Castro is a delight to behold. Built of traditional stone, with natural wood and marble, the walls are decorated with some wonderful artwork. Old maps of Amorgos dating back to the seventeenth century combine with original Greek paintings, hand made mosaics and traditional Greek furnishings to give the interior a friendly, homely and beautiful atmosphere. The ambiance is enhanced by smiling, friendly staff, cool, laid back music and late night dance grooves into the early hours.
Castro is an experience not to be missed whilst visiting Amorgos and will leave you feeling you have spent time in a truly remarkable environment.
